Amanda Kammer is the Founder and Principal of Loom & Lineage LLC, an independent wholesale luxury flooring and rug company. Loom & Lineage serves the interior design trade directly and also provides consultative services to existing manufacturers and wholesale suppliers that service the design trade.
She brings a decade of experience servicing the direct needs of the design trade, on top of a family legacy deeply entrenched in the floor covering industry. Amanda partners with select wholesalers and manufacturers to bring beautiful, high-quality product to designers, with a particular passion for bespoke, handmade rugs. She works closely with clients as a creative and logistics collaborator, helping bring their vision to life in every space she touches.
Our Mission
My dad spent decades in the wholesale rug industry, working with some of the leading companies in the U.S. through the 90s and 2000s. As a kid, when people asked what my parents did, I'd say, "My mom's a nurse, and my dad sells rugs." What I didn't understand then was that he wasn't just selling rugs. His work was an integral part of the final delivered project, dare I say the interior design world itself, helping designers bring spaces to life with handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces. He was contributing to the story of a home.
Growing up, I got to witness the magic of the flooring design world firsthand, listening to stories about industry leaders, watching relationships flourish across continents, tagging along to client and showroom visits. My dad, and later my mentor, one of his longtime clients, taught me both sides of the business: the artistry and craftsmanship, and the importance of genuine relationships.
For the past decade, I've carried that forward, working directly with wholesalers and interior designers to bring luxury rugs, carpet, and flooring to residential projects nationwide. What I love most is the partnership: making a designer's job easier, saving them time, helping bring their creative vision to life, and even helping manufacturers and wholesalers better understand and work more successfully with the industries they serve. As result, I'm proud to say that many of my clients have become friends along the way, and their success matters to me as much as the work itself.
With Loom & Lineage, I'm building on my family's generational experience in textiles while creating something of my own, a place where designers find beautiful, high-quality product, and where I get to carry forward the legacy my dad began. Someday, I hope to share it with my son, just as my father shared it with me.
